The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has decided that tires imported from Chinese consumers may or may soon "substantially" damage the US domestic tire industry.
The US International Trade Commission said there are "reasonable signs" that tires imported from China are being subsidized and sold in the United States at below fair value.
It is understood that due to the results of the committee's affirmative ruling, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) will continue to investigate the import of these products from China. Below is the preliminary schedule for the US Department of Commerce.

* The deadline for the preliminary countervailing duty decision or around August 27, 2014.
* The duration of the anti-dumping tax ruling, or about November 10, 2014.
The committee's public report, “Some passenger cars and light truck tires imported from China” (Investigation Nos. 701-TA-522 and 731-TA-1258 (Preliminary), US International Trade Commission, 4482, August 2014 Announcement) will contain the opinions of the committee and the progress during the investigation.
