BYD Daimler, the joint venture brand of DENZA, focused on new energy vehicles, and Lian Yubo, the CEO of DENZA, recently announced at the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Auto Show that currently the R&D team of more than 300 people is stepping up its work and the production of the first pure electric vehicle of the Tengshi brand. The models will be launched at the end of 2013. To promote Tengshi products, the joint venture company will set up an independent sales network with no connection to the existing models of BYD and Daimler.

Lian Yubo revealed that in order to support the sales of future channels, the Tengshi brand will continue to enrich the product line and design the mainstream and relatively advanced products in the future Chinese market. “As the product plan of Tengshi this brand, we will not do hybrid driving other than pure electric vehicles in the future. We are also researching and we will not rule out the next few years.”
